Music is part of our most important rituals, and it has been the medium of some of our greatest works of art. Through our partnership with the UK’s largest teaching union, the National Education Union/NUT Section we will ensure resources are developed to have the greatest impact on the curriculum and can scale out to schools across the country. We are asking for your help to deliver on this programme as without this funding, this project simply won’t be achievable. The majority of LMHR budget comes through donations, which has been impacted during the pandemic.

Please note that Out of the Ark Music’s original recordings may not be posted to public websites except as an accompaniment to the children singing. Of almost 200 songs by The Beatles, only 16 have the words ‘love’, ‘loves’, or ‘loving’ in the title. I love you’ , ‘All my loving’ and ‘She loves you’ , and ‘Can’t buy me love’, ‘And I love her’, and ‘Love me do’ . All of which are knocked into a cocked hat by the non-album single ‘All you need is love’, which came straight out of 1967’s ‘Summer of Love’. My high opinion of ‘All you need is love’ should, however, be tempered by that of, for instance, Ian MacDonald, who wrote that ‘its inspiration is desultory’, a result of ‘drug-sodden laziness’, culminating in ‘wilfully substandard work’. ‘All you need is love’ was premièred via a satellite link to 400 million people.
