This Art Business course is delivered by Kingston School of Art, which has its roots in the studio-based approach of Britain’s art school system . Preferably have either a degree qualification related to the subject material or a proven knowledge and interest in the subject demonstrated through, for example, work experience. Ourworkshops and studiosare open to all disciplines – enabling students and staff to work together, share ideas and explore multi-disciplinary making. Art Business at Kingston School of Art is the only antiques and fine art course accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors for entry as a probationer practitioner, and its curriculum is uniquely focused. Understand the purpose of design thinking in promoting innovation, and learn real-world applications and strategies for design thinking.

Combining the expertise and resources of both partners, the collaboration illustrated how using digital can enhance an exhibition by making it more inclusive. This programme will prepare you for graduate level employment by developing a number of the skills and attributes that are valued by employers. Drawing on expertise from the university’s Art History and Visual Culture team and across the world, lectures and seminars are framed around conversations with internationally recognised curators, artists, researchers and writers.

This module will enable you to examine the complex ecologies and connectedness of the creative and cultural industries. This module is about the application of previously introduced knowledge, bringing theory ‘to life’. Fundamental to the course are modules which introduce you to wide ranging subjects, from connoisseurship, object identification and authentication to cataloguing.
